What will my capital be used for?

Berkeley Assets raises capital from private and institutional clients across the globe which is utilised for new and existing projects and businesses, predominantly in the UK and the US. Our business has a conservative, asset backed and yield focused strategy which delivers strong and consistent growth year on year with high levels of income and the peace of mind that we own physical assets in the worlds most secure locations.

How do I place capital with Berkeley Assets?

With every client having different requirements, we provide flexible and tailored terms, across all of our placement opportunities.

What is the minimum amount I can contribute?

The minimum amount is USD 100,000 , GBP 100,000 or EUR 100,000.

Who owns Berkeley Assets?

We are an offshore British-run private equity firm established under the capital of partners, institutional clients and private clients. We are a multi-asset company owned by British Nationals with a strong, diversified portfolio of investments across real estate and fintech sectors. You can view our team here.

How are placement opportunities with Berkeley Assets regulated?

We are committed to maintaining the highest possible standards across every facet of our business. Berkeley’s placement opportunities vary depending on the route chosen. 

Our placement opportunities are written under the laws of the British Virgin Islands, thereby providing further peace of mind to our clients. The British Virgin Islands is regulated by the Financial Services Commission (FSC).

Our fund structures are based out of the Cayman Islands and fall under the purview of the Cayman Islands Monetary Authority (CIMA).

How do I redeem my capital at the end of my term?

Capital redemption is easy. Upon maturity simply complete our maturity form and capital is returned to you within 30 business days to a nominated bank account of your choice.

Can I access my capital if I would like to withdraw before maturity?

Our placement terms are fixed and we encourage our clients not to overstretch themselves, however we understand that circumstances do change. 

We have a fully liquid secondary market, in which we will reassign your placement, subject to a 10% administration charge. This provides clients with comfort in an unpredictable world.

How do I place additional capital?

Placing additional capital is a simple process and our Associates and client services teams across the globe can provide assistance with this.

Existing placements can be increased in value and multiple placements can be held by individuals. There are no hidden fees or charges on additional capital placements or multiple contracts being held.

How do I donate money to Berkeley Assets’ charity partners?

We are proud to work with some of the largest charities across the globe and we encourage our clients to join us in our charitable endeavours. Donations can be made as a portion of your initial placement with us and further amounts can be contributed on an ad-hoc basis.

In the event of a placement holder becoming deceased, what happens to the contract?

Estate planning is an important aspect for every client and thus, nominated beneficiaries can be elected at the start of your journey with us and can be changed at any point in writing by the placement holder.

We would encourage placement holders to seek personal advice to ensure estate planning is appropriately managed.
